God as Lord of History and Geography

In this video, Richard introduces an article of his own in which he talks about the way that history has been shaped by the geography of the world, and how in more recent times, events have been further shaped by advances in industrialisation and technology. We need to take note that God remains Lord of all things, and even though mankind has the ability to destroy the world through nuclear weapons and to control society through advanced technology, we perhaps need to consider that God is possibly beginning to wind up history prior to His return.

Rapid Plate Tectonics

This video and article look at the way in which the continental sheves and the divisions between them in the oceans, fits really well with the model that the ocean beds were rapidly sunk into the warmer parts of the earth's core during the early stages of the Flood.

Some Thoughts on Nations

Some thoughts on Nations

In this video, Richard introduces an article of his own, giving some thoughts on the place of nations in our society. At the time of the Tower of Babel, 70 nations were established, each with its own written and spoken language. Nations (as opposed to empires or tribes) are the way that God has intended our society to live, as they provide the necessary protection of government and infrastructure. Sadly society has deviated from these ideals over the course of history, and particularly with respect to the rise in militant humanism that has been seen in recent times, and the threat that it places on the freedom of the Gospel.

Epigenetics an Argument for Design

Epigenetics an Argument for Design

This video and article talk about epigenetics, which refers to the processes by which DNA can adapt to different situations. Experiments with plant breeding under constrained environmental conditions have demonstrated clearly that the plants will adapt accordingly over a number of generations. This is an area that requires a lot more research in order to understand the mechanisms more fully, but it is becoming increasingly clear that complex pre-programming in the genetic code is involved, pointing all the more to the work of a highly intelligent designer.

Rapid Decay of the Earth’s Magnetic Field

Rapid Decay of the Earth's Magnetic Field

In this video, Richard introduces an article about the earth's magnetic field. The rapidity of decay that can be observed in the strength of the magnetic field only reasonably allows for the earth to be up to 10,000 years old. Whilst evolutionists have proposed theories to account for a long earth history, the idea of a young earth and a worldwide flood still provides the most sound explanation of what we see.

Creation and Intercessory Prayer in Isaiah

IN this video and article, Richard talks about how the themes of creation and intercession appear to go together in the second part of the book of Isaiah (chapters 40-66). This leads on to the challenge of the importance of intercessory prayer in these last days, when godlessness is one the increase and people are largely denying God as creator.

How marvelous are Your works!

In the article which Richard introduces here, we see how the full human genetic code has now been unravelled, and how the resulting complexity that is revealed shows all the more that it cannot have all happened by chance, yet again pointing to the wondrous work of God as Creator.

Caves are Formed Rapidly

Caves are formed rapidly

In this video, Richard introduces an article by Michael Oard about cave formation. Traditionally it is thought that caves would require millions of years to be formed, given present conditions. A recent worldwide flood however, would have created extreme conditions enabling the rapid formation of caves. The long age theory is therefore not the only explanation and is itself based on an assumption that the earth is millions of years old.

Doctrine of Perspicuity

In this video and article, Richard talks about the Doctrine of Perspicuity. This was first put forward by the Reformers and included in the Westminster Confession of Faith. It basically says that although some parts of Scripture may be deep and require a degree of interpretation, there are nevertheless many parts that are intended to be plain, straightforward and easy to understand. At the end of the video, Richard cites the example of Genesis 1-3 which is clearly written as an historical narrative.
