The Fossils Still Say No to Evolution

In this video, Richard introduces an article about findings from fossils that occur in the rock layers normally associated with the dinosaur era. As we observe the fossils, we see new types appearing suddendly with no transitional forms. Also we see various groups mixed together, such as dinosaurs, mammals, plants and sea creatures. This all points to the model of a global worldwide flood, rather than to evolution. On top of this, we also find soft tissue in fossils, which clearly indicates that they can only be thousands of years old.

Richard goes on to say how Jesus believed in a worldwide flood, which can been see from how He said that the last days would be like the days of Noah. This being the case, and with all the evidence set before us, we can have complete confidence in the Bible.

Discerning The Signs of the Times

Discerning The Signs of the Times

This video and article are based upon passages in Luke chapters 12-13. Here, Jesus rebukes the crowds for not discerning the signs of the times, and also tells the parable of the barren fig tree. Those things of which He spoke came to fulfilment with the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70. Today, we have other signs of the times, such as:

  • The restoration of Israel.
  • The Church in every nation.
  • Rapid increase in persecution of Christians.

In the light of these signs, we need to be getting ready for the Second Coming.

Wrestling with God

Wrestling with God

This video and article come out of a study of Ruth chapter 1, where Ruth pleads to go with her mother-in-law Naomi. Richard then goes on to cite various examples of people pleading/wrestling with God, such as Abraham, Jacob, Moses, the Syro-Phoenician woman, and the parable of the persistent widow. In the present age when the world is very much at odds with God, it is all the more important that we are willing to persist in pleading and wrestling with God.

Soft Tissue in Fossils and the Judgement to Come.

Soft Tissue in Fossils and the Judgement to Come.

In this video, Richard introduces an article about the finding of nerve tissues in the fossil of a Triceratops, and this tissue was found to be surprisingly flexible. The number of cases of soft tissue in fossils is mounting up to such a degree, that cases cannot be written off as "experimental oddities". We are increasingly faced with clear evidence that this has all got to be due to a recent worldwide flood. Richard concludes by reminding us that just as God judged the earth with water, because of the sin of mankind, so He will judge the world again when Jesus returns, this time by fire.

Multiculturalism and Human Rights from God's Perspective?

Multiculturalism and Human Rights from God's Perspective?

In this video and article, Richard discusses some of the implications of attitudes to multiculturalism and human rights in today's world.

  • Whilst recognising that the world's population is diverse in terms of culture and customs, there is nevertheless a real danger that we can end up compromising our Judeo-Christian heritage, simply by doing things in the name of muticulturalism.
  • Whilst there is a fundamental need to protect the rights and safety of our citizens, we now see society pushing a human rights agenda, that goes far beyond the laws and precepts of God.

We need the wisdom to see these things from God's perspective.

The Destruction of Christianity?

The Destruction of Christianity?

In this video and article, Richard tells us how, in the 1830s, a group of geologically informed people defended the Biblical account of the Flood on the basis of that which was observed in the earth's rocks. At that time, it included things such as polystrate fossils (i.e. spanning multiple rock layers). Unfortunately their work was ignored with the rise of the Theory or Evolution, and in the long run, this has had a devastating effect on the western world. We now have further evidence such as soft tissue in fossils. Will the Church wake up and start to defend the truth of the Bible, and will the academic world repent?

Hymns/Songs Part of the Collective Memory of the Church

This video is a follow-on from Richard's recent post Daily Listening to Hymns, and introduces the need to include contemporary worship songs alongside the more traditional hymns, bringing out the fact that the whole spectrum of worship music, from the Reformation through to the present day, is all a valuable part of the Church's heritage.

Some Reflections on the 2023 Coronation

Some Reflections on the 2023 Coronation

In this video and article, Richard shares his thoughts on the Coronation of King Charles III in 2023. Somewhat to his surprise, this coronation took the same form as all preceding ones, in spite of the way that our nation has moved in recent times. A coronation is essentially a covenant between the Monarch, on behalf of the nation, and God. If we have made such a covenenant with God, then He will expect much of us, for which reason we need to pray all the more earnestly for our nation.

Dinosaurs and the Days of Noah

Dinosaurs and the Days of Noah

In this video, Richard returns once again to the matter of soft tissue in dinosaur fossils. The associated article addresses some of the objections that have been raised against creationists on this particular issue. The simple fact remains that soft tissue cannot be preserved for millions of years, and that any arguments reconciling these findings to a long age evolutionary model are simply not tenable. It is almost as if God is shouting to us to sit up and pay attention. Let us not forget that the Flood was an act of God's judgement upon mankind, and that we are told of a coming judgement upon the world, this time by fire.

The Rise of Atheism in the UK

The Rise of Atheism in the UK

In this video, Richard introduces an article from Prophecy Today, which reflects on the subject of the rise of atheism in the UK and western society. One key observation is in the fact that children tend to follow their parents, so if the parents do not live out a life showing the need for faith, then the children are more likely to become non-believers. Another interesting statistic that comes out concerns the role of fathers. If the father of a household engages in religious activities and lives a life of faith, then there is a high probability that the whole household will follow in coming to faith. Whilst it is true that every individual needs to come to their own decision in life, we can nevertheless see the great importance of the role of the family.
