Teaching What and How

In this video and article, Richard shares some thoughts on his career as a teacher. Whilst teaching, like many other professions, has become stressful these days with increasing demands, we perhaps need to come back to basics by concentrating on being a teacher of good things rather than a good teacher of things.

Signs that we are in the last days

In this video and article, Richard reflects on today's world and how many modern trends tie up with what has been prophesied in the Bible. These include advances in technology, economics and wealth, but also included is the increase in opposition to Christianity and the Church.

Bacteria in Ancient Rocks

In this video, Richard introduces an article about the finding of bacteria in sedimentary rock that is located beneath the seabed. This rock has been dated at over 100 million years by conventional methods, and yet some of these bacteria have been so intact, that is has actually been possible to revive them and bring them back to life. It would not be possible for these bacteria to survive millions of years and the findings can only mean that they are no more than a few thousand years old.

Changing Magnetic Fields

Changing magnetic fields - rapid or millions of years

In this video, Richard introduces an article by Russell Humphreys about the changes in the earth's magnetic field that can be deduced from variation in the way that various layers of sedimentary rock were layed down. Whilst attempts have been made to explain this is terms of a long age history of millions of years, a far easier explanation can be found in the way that the magnetic field would have changed very rapidly during the catastrophic events of the Flood.

What are Important Doctrines?

What are important doctrines?

In this video and article, Richard compares some examples of essential and non-essential doctrines that have been presented over the course of history. On the one hand we have the Nicene Creed which had to be defended against opposition, and later the return to justification by faith at the time of the Reformation. On the other hand however, there are things like the Temperance Movement, which whilst achieving some degree of good at the time, proved neverthless to be distractions. He then brings us right up to date by highlighting how essential issues such as creation and personal morality are being greatly overlooked.

Evolution Impossible – Too Much Complexity

Evolution Impossible - Too Much Complexity

In this video, Richard introduces an article, which amongst others, demonstrates how the recent increase in understanding of the incredible complexity of biological systems across various cell types, can only serve to undermine the credibility of evolutionary theory based on the idea of random mutations.

The Spiritual World as a Type of 4th Dimension

This is to some degree a repeat of the earlier post The Spiritual World as a Fourth Dimension and references the same article. It is a little longer than the previous video and consolidates some of the ideas. They are both worth watching if you find this of interest.

More Evidence for Rapid Plate Tectonics

More Evidence for Rapid Plate Tectonics

A key model for explaining the Genesis Flood is concerned with Catastrophic Plate Tectonics, a mechanism by which the ocean beds sank rapidly into the earth's core, creating the massive discrepancy between the depth of the ocean basins and the height of the highest mountains on land. This video and article introduce us to results of modern research which fit well with the Biblical timeframe of history rather than a long age of millions of years.

Why Open Air Preaching

Why Open Air Preaching

In this video and article, Richard shares something of his personal testimony of how he came to start preaching on the streets of Britain from 2018 onwards. Unfortunately the last 2 minutes of the video are missing, but it is still well worth watching. This calling came out of the culmination of a process starting in the late 1990s, in which increasingly overwhelming evidence for creation and a young earth has come to light, with the main driving force eventually coming through the discovery of soft tissue in dinosaur bones. Richard has felt the burden to bring the message to the attention of the public so that people can at least hear the truth proclaimed.

Genetic Clocks

Genetic Clocks - evidence for a recent creation

This video and article look at the subject of genetic clocks, which is about creating a picture of genetic history given observed rates of mutations. If one takes away the assumption of an evolutionary timescale, some of the evidence clearly points to a recent creation about 6000 years ago. This is especially true of mitochondrial DNA (passed down the female line) and the Y chromosome (passed down the male line).
