More Evidence for Rapid Plate Tectonics

[Posted on: 13 March 2025 by Richard Worsley]

More Evidence for Rapid Plate Tectonics

A key model for explaining the Genesis Flood is concerned with Catastrophic Plate Tectonics, a mechanism by which the ocean beds sank rapidly into the earth’s core, creating the massive discrepancy between the depth of the ocean basins and the height of the highest mountains on land. This video and article introduce us to results of modern research which fit well with the Biblical timeframe of history rather than a long age of millions of years.

Rapid Plate Tectonics

Rapid Plate Tectonics

This video and article look at the way in which the continental sheves and the divisions between them in the oceans, fits really well with the model that the ocean beds were rapidly sunk into the warmer parts of the earth’s core during the early stages of the Flood.

Rapid Decay of the Earth’s Magnetic Field

Rapid Decay of the Earth’s Magnetic Field

In this video, Richard introduces an article about the earth’s magnetic field. The rapidity of decay that can be observed in the strength of the magnetic field only reasonably allows for the earth to be up to 10,000 years old. Whilst evolutionists have proposed theories to account for a long earth history, the idea of a young earth and a worldwide flood still provides the most sound explanation of what we see.

Devils Tower

Devils Tower

This video and the associated article talk about Devils Tower, a well known geological feature in Wyoming. Richard talks about how the lack of erosion on the cliff faces is not consitent with a long age world history and also how the formation of such a feature (an isolated rock mound on an otherwise flat landscape) is best explained in terms of a worldwide flood.

Log Mats

Log Mats

In this video, Richard introduces an article by Michael Oard on the subject of log mats. A log mat is a phenomenon that can occur as result of a major catastrophe (e.g. the eruption of Mount St Helens in 1980) in which a large number of trees are uprooted and moved to form a large floating ‘mat’ on water. This is something that could have easily happened during a global flood, and as such, offers a good explanation to a number of findings that occur within sedimetary rock layers.

Response to ‘Weird Earth’

[Posted on: 29 January 2025 by Richard Worsley]

Weird Earth

In this video and article, Richard makes a response to the book ‘Weird Earth’ by Donald Prothero. This book looks at a number of subjects including creation science. Whilst the author does not take a favourable view of the latter, he does nevertheless make some attempt to engage with the subject when presenting his critique. In the associated article, Richard goes through each of Prothero’s objections and presents a link to an article on the particular subject from one of the major creation societies.

The Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon

This post follows on from a previous post The Best Arguments Against a Young Earth and refers to the same article. In this video, Richard takes a slightly different approach. In particular, he highlights the fact that no less than thirty critical points against the young earth position already have adequate responses within articles published by the major creation societies.

Mount St Helens

Mount St Helens

In this video, Richard introduces an article about the eruption of Mount St Helens in 1980. One of the amazing findings of this event is in the fact that substantial geological changes can occur within a very short period of time when a major catastrophe takes place. This is perfectly in keeping with the idea of a recent global flood as recorded in the Bible.

Plausibility of the Flood

[Posted on: 06 January 2025 by Richard Worsley]

Plausibility of the Flood

This video refers to an article that reports on a mathematical and scientific analysis of the geological processes that would have been associated with a global flood, and it demontrates something of the thoroughness of research carried out by the creation societies. Whilst this article is very detailed and would make very heavy reading for many, Richard goes on to talk about some of the implications involved. In the creation/evolution debate, a person’s thinking will often be based on the premise as to whether or not there is a god, and sadly much of our modern day culture is now founded upon an atheistic worldview. But what about the evidence we see? The case for the existence of God demands serious consideration.

Passive Margins

Passive Margins – Evidence for a Worldwide Flood

In this video, Richard introduces an article by Michael Oard on the subject of passive margins, a term given to the gently sloping areas of seabed that exist around much of the world’s continental coastline. These are the norm other than in areas where plate tectonics (causing proneness to earthquakes) are active. The formation of these passive margins is best explained by the water runoff that would have occurred as the new deep ocean basins were formed in the end stages of the Flood. This is far better than any effort to try and explain things in terms of a long age earth history.
