More Evidence Against Junk DNA
In this video, Richard introduces a recent article by Jeffrey Tomkins about long non-coding RNA. Without being over-technical, it suffices to say that long non-coding RNA is a part of the genetic code that was previously believed to be 'junk', i.e. a leftover from our evolutionary past. Recent research has however shown that this is not the case and that this part of the genetic code does in fact perform a userful function, and this has even been recognised within biomedical research, the chief aim of which is in the promotion of health and prevention of disease. We are grateful that we can learn so much more about the complexity of the function of the genetic code, which must inevitably lead us to give the glory to God, the master creator and designer of all things.
