The Bureaucratisation of Life!
In this video and article, Richard looks at the way we have seen a great increase in paperwork in the workplace over recent years. Whilst he looks at this from his own point of view as a schoolteacher, the assumption is made that the same must apply to other professions. We now live in a world where any new initiative, which may be very good in its own right, comes with the cost of extra paperwork and administration. The concern is raised that extra administration takes time, and has the inevitable consequence that it will reduce a persons capacity to do their job well, and may even reduce the quality of life as a whole. This is in complete contrast to the teachings of Jesus, when He said "My yoke is easy and My burden is light" and when He rebuked the teachers of the Law for putting extra burdens upon people.
